About Us

Our journey began in 2006 when our holding company, Laser Edge Designs, spotted a gap in the acrylic market. Acquiring the technology and machinery to produce high-end acrylic furniture was our main goal. After procuring the best laser-cutting machines, CNC routers and other specialised machinery, we carved our niche and brought the Acryluso brand to life.

As pioneers in acrylic furniture, our products are 100% locally made. Our cutting-edge facilities have made us a leader in the industry, and we receive increasing requests from customers looking for bespoke acrylic products for various uses in homes, hotels, commercial outfits and restaurants. With the demand, we made a strategic decision to reposition our business with the vision to become South Africa’s largest acrylic furniture manufacturer.

With renewed vision and a passion for what we do, the Acryluso brand was officially relaunched in 2013. We entered the market by supplying South Africa’s top interior designers, decorators and architects as well as high-end furniture and homeware retailers. In just a few years, our reputation for being the leading supplier of acrylic products grew, allowing us to expand internationally with a global footprint that now includes the Middle East, North America, Canada, Australia, Europe and Africa.

As part of our expansion strategy, which required a highly sophisticated factory setup, we acquired the manufacturing division of our biggest local competitor. This gave Acryluso a significant market share, in addition to the highly experienced artisans who are integral to our business. This acquisition has also allowed Acryluso to become the largest acrylic fabrication facility on the African continent!

In addition to our furniture and homeware, our product range has extended to include acrylic tanks, pools, panels and even aquariums. We’re constantly evolving and our business continues to grow – both in South Africa and internationally.

Over the years however, we received an increasing number of requests from customers looking for custom made acrylic items for various uses in homes, hotels & restaurants.
With this growing demand, we realised there was an enormous gap in the market for high end acrylic homeware, furniture and accessories. Because of this new potential global market for us, we took a strategic decision to re-focus our business by focusing primarily on building South Africa’s largest high-end acrylic furniture and homeware manufacturer.

Our new division launched by supplying South Africa’s top interior designers and decorators, architects as well as high-end furniture and homeware retailers. Within a couple years, we expanded to customers all over the world including the Middle East, North America, Canada, Australia, parts of Europe and Africa.
In 2013, the Acryluso brand was officially launched. The name ACRYLUSO personifies luxury acrylic products as the word ‘LUSSO’ means luxury in Italian where a lot of our design inspiration began.

As part of our national and international strategy which required a well-established and highly sophisticated factory base, we acquired the manufacturing division of our biggest local competitor, previously known as ‘Magma Acrylics’. Through this acquisition, not only did we inherit their customer base and equipment but all their highly trained and experienced artisans. This new addition to our company made and continues to make us the most skilled and well-established acrylic fabrication facility on the African continent.
Our combined product range is made up of Furniture, Homeware, Tanks, Pool panels and Aquariums. We are also constantly involved with bespoke projects and furniture pieces. Our brand continues to grow both in the South African and International markets by evolving and continuous development in product design and efficiency.
